Membrane Roof

The lightweight membrane material makes
eye-catching architectural designs.

With sufficient strength to be used as a building material for roofs, the "light and soft" membrane material greatly expands the flexibility of architectural design. Its light weight makes it easy to accommodate large-span structures, enabling three- dimensional curved surfaces and designs. Its high light reflectance also contributes to improved energy efficiency.

STRUCTURE

Kasai Rinkai Park: Due to the aging of the existing roof, a membrane replacement was installed. The welding of the membrane panels was aligned with the arch frame area, allowing for a beautifully detailed appearance.

Abeno Harukas Intersection Membrane Structure Shelter: Membrane material coated with tetrafluoroethylene resin is used for durability.

Harbor Passage Shelter

Roofs of Shin-Yamaguchi Station corridor: Highly heat-resistant membrane material is used. During the daytime, soft natural light creates a comfortable space.

Free design and large space

"Permanent Membrane" is a membrane material coated with tetrafluoroethylene resin for durability in order to maintain the service life of buildings in which it is used. It is also commonly referred to as a PTFE coated glassfiber membrane. Nonflammability: A composite material of tetrafluoroethylene resin and glass cloth, it has excellent nonflammability. Toughness: Permanent membranes are made of thin glass fiber which provides sufficient strength and safety in the membrane structure.

Transparency: Since the permanent membrane material is translucent, the light that passes through it is naturally scattered with few shadows, creating a soft space effect. Thermal properties: Reflects 80% of the sun's energy, reducing heat conductivity to the interior. Weatherability: Coated with tetrafluoroethylene resin, it is inert to ultraviolet rays and air pollution, and maintains its weatherability for a long period of time. Self-cleaning: Due to the properties of the fluoropolymer film, air pollutants that have accumulated on the surface are washed away with each rainfall.
